The album contains images of famous figures from politics, science, and related sectors visiting the Kodaikanal Observatory. The visit by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, and the visit by Indira Gandhi during the tenure of the Prime Minister and other ministers from Indian politics are preserved in the album. It also has photos of Prof. S. Chandrasekhar and Homi J. Bhabha's visit. Group photos of M. K. Vainu and his colleagues at the Kodaikanal Observatory are also preserved in the album.

The album comprises photos of the Annual Day celebration for the year 1990 at IIA Bangalore. The photos of cultural programs, meetings, and group photos are preserved in the album. The chief guest of the function was Dr.M. K. Vainu Bappu, founder of the institute.
