Digitization Program
The Archives Digitization Program aims to improve the accessibility of the materials held by the IIA Archive by converting their physical collections into digital formats. This digitization process ensures that researchers, regardless of their geographical location, will have broader access to these valuable resources. The program involves scanning or photographing physical documents, photographs, manuscripts, or other archival materials and converting them into digital files. This digital transformation allows for easier storage, organization, and dissemination of archived content.Historical materials have distinctive characteristics that make digitizing archives complicated. The generated files also require processing to make them machine-readable and appropriate for efficient use in online discovery tools.Currently, The IIA Repository contains our digital records. They will be available on the IIA archives website shortly after we complete digitizing them. The users can also request the digitisation of any materials that still need to be digitally available by submitting the request form.
