              The office order was about the temporary promotion of Thomas Royds and A. A. Narayana Ayyar. Due to the absence of John Evershed, Director of Solar Physics Observatory, Kodaikanal, The Assistant Director, Thomas Royds, was appointed as Acting Director, and The first Assistant, A. A. Narayana Ayyar, as The Acting Assistant Director. The order was sent from Simla in 1920.
