This item was about the hand-colored picture of the Sun, as observed by N.R. Pogson at Masulipatnam with the Smythian five-foot Telescope from the Hartwell observatory, which has a power of 52. In the picture, Pogson has made two sketches of the solar eclipse, explaining how the Sun was seen immediately after the disappearance and how it was seen immediately before the reappearance.

This item was about the measurements of spectrum and solar spots. It is divided into two parts. The first part describes the scale division of the spectroscope micrometer that defines the bright lines observed in the spectrum of the southeast by east prominence and the ordinary lines in the solar spectrum that were measured before and after the eclipse. The second part includes a sketch depicting the principal solar spots measured at Masulipatnam on August 18, 1868. The sketch shows four spots: A, B, C, and D.

French astronomer Gustave de Pontecoulant wrote the Analytical Theory of the World System volume 3, part I has pages from "i-xxiv, 1 - 230" and part II has pages from "231 - 566". It was published in 1834. It contains mathematical and scientific explanations of various phenomena related to celestial bodies and their movements. The book covers topics such as the orbits of planets, perturbations caused by gravitational influences, calculations of constants and coefficients, expressions for perturbing forces, and equations for determining the elements of orbits.

This item was about the total solar eclipse that occurred on 24 October 1995 at Neem Ka Thana in Rajasthan. In the collection three photographs were captured at different intervals during a solar eclipse. The first photograph shows the Sun as fully covered by the Moon, creating a half-ring. The second photograph displays the Sun's corona as a bright, heavy ring, and the third shows the Sun as a light ring.
