Part of Photographs of "More than a Century of Eclipse Expeditions 1868-2006 for which IIA participated."
This item was about the total solar eclipse that occurred on 23 November 2003, observed from India's Antarctic station Maitri. It was seen in the photograph that the shadow of the Moon was only able to cover the middle area of the Sun such that the Sun looks like a heavy ring during the eclipse captured from the horizon.
