The letter is from John Evershed to The Director General of Observatories, Simla, informing that he agreed to put off special repairs to the roof at a more favorable time as the price of materials is high and asked to do minor repairs that were necessary.

The letter is to A. Vipan suggested starting the work on the roof of the spectroheliograph building as the weather was fine then, and the funds required had been met by reappropriation.

This letter was about the abstract bill of charges that were incurred for the carriage of "Siderostat" part of the spectroheliograph from Madras to Kodaikanal and request the payment may be made as early possible.

And request that the work be taken up as early as possible.
