This fond contains collection of items that provide information about solar eclipses that occurred during the time period of 1868-2006. The collection includes photographs of total solar eclipses that took place on different dates, and covered from different places as well as sketches that help to illustrate the phenomenon and the path of the eclipses.

This item was about the total solar eclipse that occurred on 16 February 1980. In this photograph, we can see that only the Sun's corona is visible to us and captured.
Sin títuloThis item was about the measurements of spectrum and solar spots. It is divided into two parts. The first part describes the scale division of the spectroscope micrometer that defines the bright lines observed in the spectrum of the southeast by east prominence and the ordinary lines in the solar spectrum that were measured before and after the eclipse. The second part includes a sketch depicting the principal solar spots measured at Masulipatnam on August 18, 1868. The sketch shows four spots: A, B, C, and D.
Sin títuloThis item was about the total solar eclipse that occurred on 23 November 2003, observed from India's Antarctic station Maitri. It was seen in the photograph that the shadow of the Moon was only able to cover the middle area of the Sun such that the Sun looks like a heavy ring during the eclipse captured from the horizon.
Sin títuloThis item was about the hand-colored picture of the Sun, as observed by N.R. Pogson at Masulipatnam with the Smythian five-foot Telescope from the Hartwell observatory, which has a power of 52. In the picture, Pogson has made two sketches of the solar eclipse, explaining how the Sun was seen immediately after the disappearance and how it was seen immediately before the reappearance.
Sin títuloThis item was about the total solar eclipse that occurred on 24 October 1995 at Neem Ka Thana in Rajasthan. In the collection three photographs were captured at different intervals during a solar eclipse. The first photograph shows the Sun as fully covered by the Moon, creating a half-ring. The second photograph displays the Sun's corona as a bright, heavy ring, and the third shows the Sun as a light ring.
Sin títuloThis item was about the image of the coronal structures (visible only during eclipses), from left to right : taken with (a) green filter, 100ms exposure, 2x2 binning, (b) red filter, 300ms exposure, 4x4 binning and (c) red filter, 100ms exposure, full resolution.
Sin títuloThis item was about the sketch of the path of a total solar eclipse that occurred in India in 1868. It depicts the Peninsula of India and shows the track of the Moon's shadow during the eclipse on August 17, 1868. The sketch was created by V.T. & A.K. Johnston in Edinburgh and includes scalar measurements at the bottom.
Sin títuloThis item was about the total solar eclipse that occurred on 7 March, 1970. The resulting photograph shows the Sun completely covered by the Moon, with only the corona visible and, which was captured by the camera.
Sin títuloThis item was about the total solar eclipse that occurred on 11 June 1983 in Indonesia. In photos of the event, the Sun appears to be entirely covered by the shadow of the Moon, with only the Sun' corona visible as a bright golden ring.
