        Theodor Ritter von Oppolzer was an Austrian astronomer and mathematician. Oppolzer was known for his remarkable memory and was reputed to have memorized the values of 14,000 logarithms. He authored over 300 papers, primarily focusing on the determination of the orbital elements of comets and asteroids. Additionally, he conducted an expedition to observe a solar eclipse in 1868.
