Part of Photos of events and visits of delegates' at Madras and Kodaikanal Observatory during the directorship of Dr. Anil Kumar Das
The item is related to the first Independence Day celebrations at Kodaikanal on 1947 August 15. The first photo is a group photo of all members sitting on the front side of the observatory. The second photograph is of the flag hoisting by the Director, Dr. Anil Kumar Das. All the names of the participants are written on the back side of the photograph.
