This letter was written to the Director of Kodaikanal Observatory from the Executive Engineer, Madura Special Division, informing him of the due budget estimate of Imperial Civil works for 1913-14 and also asked to report if there are works of the department in his jurisdiction for which require funds to be applied in the next year.

This letter is enquiring about preparing plans and estimates for the new buildings required and also asked for having a stone tablet designed with an inscription referring to the donor of some Poona instruments.
