Madras M.S. Records was an important handwritten document maintained by M. Topping (1789-1796) and J. Goldingham (1796-1805), who were early astronomers of the Madras Observatory. The establishment of the Madras Observatory in 1786 was mentioned in this record.

This was a handwritten record of observations made at the Madras Observatory by J. Goldingham (1796- 1805). It records the correspondent eclipses of the first and second satellites of Jupiter at the Madras Observatory and of Musalipatam, which were determined by timing immersions and the emersions of the first and second Satellites of Jupiter. The record consists of 163 pages and is not in good condition.

This bill was certified by the Director of Kodaikanal & Madras Observatory regarding sums on the account (1-10-0)of telegrams paid to the Takhtasingji Observatory, Poona.

This bill is an estimate for making one polished memorial tablet of His Highness the late Maharaja Sir Takshtasinghji, including pricing on a temporary pillar in Kodaikanal Observatory.
