He forwarded a list of principal instruments at the Poona Observatory and said the Maharaja of Bhavnagar accepted the above understanding.

The Director General of Observatories asked Mr Evershed to be present at Poona during the dismantling of the telescopes and also to send the 'enlarging apparatus and spectrum microscope' to Kodaikanal if its removal doesn't interfere with the working of Poona Observatory before abolition.
