              This letter is from W. J. Dunlop to the Executive Engineer informing that the domes etc belonging to the observatory building should be closed under machinery and the cost of such items should be deducted from the capital cost. Also a reply letter from the director of Kodaikanal and Madras Observatories Michie Smith questioning this is a very troublesome work and also he mentioned that this cannot be reached by any considerate of cost.

              This letter contains a proposal to close the Observatory at Poona and transfer the instruments to Kodaikanal, as instructed by the Bombay Government and also provides the details of three staff members who can be transferred if their services are required at Kodaikanal.
