Part of Correspondence from Poona and other Observatory

John Evershed, Director of Kodaikanal & Madras Observatory, wrote this letter to Gilbert T. Walker, assuming they might be getting the prism from Poona Observatory. He mentioned sending correspondence about the new micrometer and a specification. He devised another much simpler method of reducing moonlight comparable with 1st magnitude stars, which seems quite successful. He also proposed purchasing a Hartmann machine from private funds to save time and trouble.

              Walker, Gilbert T.

The letter is from John Evershed to Gilbert T. Walker regarding the Publication of the International Commission for Scientific Aeronautics. It acknowledges the receipt of the publications of the International Commission for Scientific Aeronautics from January 1905.
