              The letter is from M. R. Ry. A. V. Ramalinga Aiyar, Executive Engineer, Madura Division, to the Director, Kodaikanal Observatory, informing that transverse stiffeners may bend in the middle, and he suggests using horizontal ties and cross braces to stiffen the roof if it wouldn't be hindering instruments. He also said that he would get the transit shed repaired when he goes to Kodaikanal on 27 that month.

Subbiah Pillai to enter the land to survey the Observatory area according to the government order to submit a revised description of the boundaries of the Municipality.

              The letter is from K. N. Aiya Iyer, Chairman, Municipal Council to the Secretary to the Government of Madras, Local Self Government asking the Ministry to approve the proposal to extend municipal limits so as to include the Director's residence and other buildings belonging to the Observatory stating it was proposed in 1908 and its other pros and cons.

Electrical Engineer to the Government of Madras to the Assistant Director, Kodaikanal Observatory, forwarding an estimate of Rs.340 for extending the pump house and requesting him to countersign it and the estimate of Rs.1075 for a suitable water pump and forward them to the Government for Administrative approval.

              Part of Correspondence from Poona and other Observatory

              This letter corresponds to a bill payment for Re.1-10-0 regarding the cost of the supply arrangements to Maharaja Takhatsingji Observatory through a telegram to the Director of the Poona Observatory from The Madras Observatory. It says that the telegram for sending to Poona cannot be paid to the Madras Observatory, as stated in article 1337 of Civil Accounts Cods, Vol II. So the Governor in Council has authorized the Accountant-General, Bombay, to arrange for its settlement in direct communication with the Accountant-General, Madras.
