              This is a circular letter from A.G. Cardew, AG Secretary to Government, regarding adopting standard time for railways and telegraph offices. The standard time in India will be 5.30 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and 9 minutes ahead of Madras time. In Burma, it will be 6.30 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and 5 minutes and 23 seconds earlier than Rangoon time. The change will be introduced at midnight between June 30 and July 1, 1905.

              Cardew, Alexander

              The letter is from W.B. Gorbon to different departments regarding the revision of the charge on account of upkeep of electrical installations, stating that with effect from 1st April 1912, the charge for repairs shall be assessed at the rate of 5 percent per annum on the capital cost of installations.
