The director of TIFR said M. K. Vainu Bappu was a giant among astronomers and also suggested that the famous 90-inch telescope should be renamed after him. It also speaks on the M. K. Vainu Bappu-Wilson effect and also the first Indian to discover a comet that had been named after him.

              This item was about the interview with the director of IIA, Dr. J.C. Bhattacharya, he discussed details about the Kavalur telescope installation and its capabilities. As a co-discoverer of the rings of Uranus, Dr. Bhattacharya provided insights into the telescope's design, how far we can see from it, and other aspects of the project. He answered all questions thoroughly and provided a comprehensive overview of the telescope and its potential for sky research.
