Astronomical Observations Madras, 1792-94 was known as the "Annual Report of 1792". The manuscript volume was divided into three parts. The first part gives a detailed description of the observatory building supplemented with 12 hand-coloured figures of the various sections of the building. Figure 1 is the picture of the Madras Observatory. Parts 2 and 3 record the observations taken for the years 1793 and 1794, respectively.

The order was on the appointment of Prof. E. B. Ross as Acting Meteorologist, Madras, and Deputy Director of Madras Observatory effective from 1st July 1919. Prof. E. B. Ross was the Professor at Madras Christian College. Meteorological Department issued the order by the Registrar of the Madras Government in 1919.

The order was on the appointment of P. R. Chidambara Ayer and M. R. Ry. S. Solomon Pillai as Meteorologists at Madras and Deputy Director of Madras Observatory, respectively, effective from 3rd May 1919. The order was issued from Meteorological Department by Senior Superintendent.
