It also has photos of Prof. S. Chandrasekhar and Homi J. Bhabha's visit. Group photos of M. K. Vainu and his colleagues at the Kodaikanal Observatory are also preserved in the album.

The album contains photos of the buildings and events at Kodaikanal Solar Observatory in Tamil Nadu, India. The observatory was established in 1899 as a Solar Physics Observatory, and all the activities of the Madras Observatory were shifted to Kodaikanal. Firstly a few photos of this album are of telescope domes and buildings, particularly North and South domes and 6-inch and 8-inch telescope buildings. After that, several photos of the pump house near the administrative building for the well and administrative section of the old radio astronomy building are arranged. Photos of the second national solar physics workshop on 29th September 1987 are followed by photographs of the rear side of the spectrobuilding and road from the specrto tunnel towards the library. Photos of the solar tower taken in 1980, huts near the I and M building, and front, back, and side views of H alpha and Ca K spectrohelio graphs are arranged in the middle of the album. In addition to that, photos of the solar tower tunnel, library building, and Bhavanagar dome can be seen in the album.

This letter mentions about forwarding a copy of the Royal society's letter to the Director, Solar Physics Observatory, Kodaikanal for his information and guidance.

This letter was to enclose in the original a file of correspondence relating to the telegram from Kiel to Kodaikanal, copies of which have been sent to Poona and seeking the views as to future arrangements of Director, Kodaikanal & Madras Observatory.
