He told to arrange the battery at the post office, maintaining sufficient current strength for signalling purposes as soon as possible.

            The letter is from the Director of Kodaikanal and Madras Observatories to the Surgeon-General, saying that the Meridian line of the Observatory passes through the Spur Tank and hence takes into consideration while making plans for the hospital that no chimney can come near the line.
