The proposal discusses fixing an Indian Standard Time for all Indian railways and telegraphs. It will be precisely 5.30 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and 9 minutes ahead of Madras Time. Additionally, the proposal suggests fixing a Burma Standard Time for use on all railways and telegraphs in Burma, which will be precisely 6.30 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and 5 minutes ahead of Rangoon time.
