The album contains photos taken during the visit of the IAU (International Astronomical Union) executive committee to the IIA Bangalore campus on 12 September 1992. Prof. R. Cowsik was the director of the institute at that time. A group of 17 members from different countries visited various departments of the institutes, such as the library, archives, and mechanical workshop. Along with those photographs, the album includes a presentation by Director R. Cowsik and group photos of the IAU members.

The album contains photos of the finance committee meeting of IIA in 1997 and the inauguration photos of the CREST campus at Hoskote in 1996. The foundation stone of the CREST campus was laid by Prof V. S. Ramamurthy, a well-known Indian nuclear scientist and R. Cowsik, former director of IIA.
