The album consists of photos related to the visit of Prof. Blaav to IIA, containing a welcome, delivering a presentation to Prof. Blaav by R. Cowsik, a lecture by Prof. Blaav, and a presentation to Prof. Blaav by R. Cowsik.

The album contains photos and observations related to Norman Robert Pogson, an English astronomer who worked in India at the Madras Observatory as a Government astronomer from 1861 to 1891. He undertook observations of comets and found numerous minor planets. The album starts with a photograph of Norman Robert Pogson, who had signed it himself. Images of the Madras Observatory and Kodaikanal Observatory, as well as photos of Pogsons's Grave and brass plaque at St. George's Cathedral, Madras, are also archived in this album. In addition, copies of the critical astronomical observations undertaken by N. R. Pogson. A copy of the catalogue for the observation of the minor planet 'Asia', a hand-painted solar spectrum of the total Solar Eclipse in 1868, a copy of the title page of observations of the fixed stars made with the meridian circle and a title page of variable star catalogue. The photographs in this album were collected and presented to Ms. Cherry Amstrong, the great-great-granddaughter of Norman Robert Pogson, during her visit to the Kodaikanal Observatory on 16th February 2006.

The album comprises around 200 photographs categorized under two events. The first event was the visit of a committee of Members of Parliament on paper laid on the table; Rajya Sabha Members visited the institute and its laboratories on 15th July 1994. The second event was the visit of MP to the Kodaikanal campus in 1992.

The album contains photos of eminent personalities related to IIA, namely S. Chandrasekhar, R. Cowsik, Godbole, T. P. Prabhu, Radhakrishnan, Ramani. M, S. Ramasheshan, B. V. Srikantan and Yash Pal. The photos were taken in the year 1994.

The album contains photos of the beautiful sceneries of the Himalayas in Hanle and Ladakh. Images of local streets, markets, buildings, and monasteries are preserved, along with pictures of the natives and performances of their local art forms. The album is enough to give a holistic idea about the life of Leh and Ladakhh during the 1990s.

The album contains photos taken during the visit of the IAU (International Astronomical Union) executive committee to the IIA Bangalore campus on 12 September 1992. Prof. R. Cowsik was the director of the institute at that time. A group of 17 members from different countries visited various departments of the institutes, such as the library, archives, and mechanical workshop. Along with those photographs, the album includes a presentation by Director R. Cowsik and group photos of the IAU members.

The album contains photos of Dr Scaria's visit to the Hawaii Observatory.

The album contains images of famous figures from politics, science, and related sectors visiting the Kodaikanal Observatory. The visit by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, and the visit by Indira Gandhi during the tenure of the Prime Minister and other ministers from Indian politics are preserved in the album. It also has photos of Prof. S. Chandrasekhar and Homi J. Bhabha's visit. Group photos of M. K. Vainu and his colleagues at the Kodaikanal Observatory are also preserved in the album.

The album contains photos related to the visit of Cherry, great great granddaughter of Norman Robert Pogson, Government astronomer of Madras Observatory in 1860's to the Kodaikanal campus in 2006.

This fonds encompasses photographic slides showcasing prominent tourist destinations. It features diverse images, including Amherstia nobilis and Brownea coccinea in Lal Bagh, Bangalore, the old falls in Kutralam, Tamil Nadu, a scene of an elephant lifting a log on the roads of Munnar, fishing boats in the Bay of Bengal, and a tea garden in Munnar. Additionally, the collection includes images capturing the Krishnagiri Forts in Tamil Nadu, the Hare Island Lighthouse in Thoothukudi, and a compelling photograph of an elephant working at a logging camp in Thekkady.
