The album contains photos taken during the lunar eclipse observation on 16th July 2000. The photographs show different phases of the lunar eclipse, from the partial to full moon.

The album contains photos of the observation camp for capturing the transit of Venus at IIA Bangalore campus in 2004. The transit of Venus in 2004 was a significant astronomical event in history because it was the first Venus transit after the invention of broadcast media. The photos of the transit of Venus, school students observing the event, setting up the observational ground, and presentations by astronomers of IIA can be seen in the album.

The album contains photos of the centres of IIA located in Leh/ Ladakh, Kavalur and Kodaikanal and the main campus at Bangalore. Images of outstation tours are kept at the last of the album.
