The album contains photos of the IIA council meeting that occurred during the directorship of R. Cowsik. The album includes pictures of discussions and meetings with council members and team dinners.
The album contains photos taken during the visit of the IAU (International Astronomical Union) executive committee to the IIA Bangalore campus on 12 September 1992. Prof. R. Cowsik was the director of the institute at that time. A group of 17 members from different countries visited various departments of the institutes, such as the library, archives, and mechanical workshop. Along with those photographs, the album includes a presentation by Director R. Cowsik and group photos of the IAU members.
Indian Institute of AstrophysicsThe album consists of photographs taken during the 40th General Council meeting for 1992-1993 held at the House of Lords and Windsor Manon in Bangalore. There are photos of the general council members, like R. Cowsik, M. G. K. Menon, and Venkatraman Radhakrishnan, in this album.
Indian Institute of AstrophysicsThe album contains photos of delegates on several exciting frontier areas of particle physics at energy scales not realizable in terrestrial accelerators and their significance in astrophysics and cosmology. The photos include famous astrophysicists around the world like Bradt Hale, Burgess Cliff, Cowsik Ramanath, etc., who discussed physics beyond the standard model, violations of discrete symmetries, neutrino physics, neutrino astronomy, experimental detection of dark matter, gravitation and feebler new forces, cosmic rays, etc. Some highlights are the latest results from the Kamiokande neutrino detector and status reports on experimental facilities under commission to detect solar and atmospheric neutrinos, WIMP's and dark matter candidates.
Indian Institute of AstrophysicsThe album contains photos of Prof B.V. Sreekanran in his welcome address on several exciting frontier areas of particle physics at energy scales not realizable in terrestrial accelerators and their significance in astrophysics and cosmology. The photos include famous astrophysicists around the world like Angom DKS, Bhattacharyya J.C., Krishnakumar V., etc., who discussed physics beyond the standard model, violations of discrete symmetries, neutrino physics, neutrino astronomy, experimental detection of dark matter, gravitation and feebler new forces, cosmic rays, etc. Some highlights are the latest results from the Kamiokande neutrino detector and status reports on experimental facilities under commission to detect solar and atmospheric neutrinos, WIMP's and dark matter candidates.

Indian Institute of AstrophysicsThe album contains photos of eminent personalities related to IIA, namely S. Chandrasekhar, R. Cowsik, Godbole, T. P. Prabhu, Radhakrishnan, Ramani. M, S. Ramasheshan, B. V. Srikantan and Yash Pal. The photos were taken in the year 1994.
Indian Institute of AstrophysicsThe album comprises around 200 photographs categorized under two events. The first event was the visit of a committee of Members of Parliament on paper laid on the table; Rajya Sabha Members visited the institute and its laboratories on 15th July 1994. The second event was the visit of MP to the Kodaikanal campus in 1992.
