This item contains letters from F.J. Wilson Superintending Engineer to the chief engineer regarding the works connected with the observatory buildings at Kodaikanal. It also contains the exchange between Charles Michie Smith The Director of Kodaikanal and Madras Observatories with the superintending officer regarding plans and estimates for quarters for the mechanic, book-binder, and three additional peons of this observatory and a return intimation confirming the proposed construction of 5 additional godowns for the accommodations for the peons, two lascars, a book-binder, and a mechanic at the Kodaikanal solar physics Observatory.
