The album includes photos captured during the visit to the Indian Institute of Astrophysics by Prof. S. Chandrasekhar, an Indian-American theoretical physicist and Nobel prize winner in physical science. This particular visit of Prof. S. Chandrasekhar and his wife, Mrs Lalitha Chandrasekhar, was held in 1991 during the directorship of R. Cowsik.

The album consists of photos related to the visit of Prof. S. Chandrasekhar, who shared the 1983 Nobel Prize for physics with William A. Fowler for theoretical studies of the physical processes of importance to the structure and evolution of the stars. He visited the IIA Bangalore campus on 11 January 1993 with his wife, Lalitha Chandrasekhar. The album includes photos of lectures and meetings, as well as the photos of Prof Chandrasekhar and his wife at IIA.

The album consists of photos related to the visit of Prof. Blaav to IIA, containing a welcome, delivering a presentation to Prof. Blaav by R. Cowsik, a lecture by Prof. Blaav, and a presentation to Prof. Blaav by R. Cowsik.

The album contains photos of eminent personalities related to IIA, namely S. Chandrasekhar, R. Cowsik, Godbole, T. P. Prabhu, Radhakrishnan, Ramani. M, S. Ramasheshan, B. V. Srikantan and Yash Pal. The photos were taken in the year 1994.

The album contains images of famous figures from politics, science, and related sectors visiting the Kodaikanal Observatory. The visit by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, and the visit by Indira Gandhi during the tenure of the Prime Minister and other ministers from Indian politics are preserved in the album. It also has photos of Prof. S. Chandrasekhar and Homi J. Bhabha's visit. Group photos of M. K. Vainu and his colleagues at the Kodaikanal Observatory are also preserved in the album.

This fond consist of newspaper clipping on the nobel physicist Prof. S Chandrasekhar. In 1983, S Chandrasekhar recieved nobel for featuring the stability problem in different phases of stellar evolution. This fond provide us information about his research history and work life balance.
