This letter was reply to the Librarian, IIA about sending the photographs of the late Dr.M.K.V. Bappu taken during Regional Meeting on Astronomy in Bandung (August, 1981). In the picture he is shown to shake hand with the then Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr.Adam Malik.

This letter was about the speech given by Dr. Bappu at IAU-2nd Asian Pacific meeting in Astronomy, Bundurg, Indonesia, August 25-29, 1981. He appreciated the progress of Indonesia in astronomy and its interest to do more.
