The map shows the Image of India, namely Delhi, Jaipur and Bikaner in 1833. Baldwin & Cradock 47 Paternoster publishes the Maps under the Superintendence of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. The map was engraved and printed by J.&C. Walker.

The letter is from Kunwar Maharaj Singh, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, to All local governments and administrations regarding a complaint received by the High Commissioner for India from one of the agents for sales of Indian Official Publications in the UK that the client cancelled their order as it was so late. So, to prevent such complaints, he requested to take steps to make sure transmission is done at the earliest to the High Commissioner.

This letter was about Harlow Shapley's words on M. K. Vainu Bappu's decision to go back to India. He also mentioned about the meeting of IAU in Rome, where Shapley wants to meet Indian scientists interested in astronomy and tell them that they should do two things promptly.

This letter was about the reply to Whipple on the M. K. Vainu Bappu reprimand issue and informing to Dr.Harlow Shapley on the subject, and hope that it will clarify the point in case there was any misunderstanding.
