Biographical history
Prof. M Govind Kumar Menon, an internationally known physicist, was Chairman, Electronics Commission and Director, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, before assuming the Office of SA to RM on 17 August 1974. He studied Advanced Physics at the University of Bristol and obtained the PhD degree in 1953. At Bristol, he worked with Nobel Laureate Professor CF Powell.
