The letter is from E. J. B. Greenwood, Electric Engineer of the Government of Madras, to the Director Kodaikanal Observatory, a continuation of letter no. 1601 dated 21-05-1919 asking for the countersignature and submission to the Government for sanction an estimate amounting to Rs.1075 for a suitable pump. Also, ask him to return the forecast and the pump house sketch if the room can't hold a 30" * 15" pump
