This letter was written to the Executive Engineer, Madura Special Division, about the allotment of funds to the Madras P.W.D. that would be made by the Imperial General of Observatories for some building works. And the partial allotment of funds at the request of the Director General of Observatories.

This reply letter was sent to the Deputy Director of Madras Observatory informing the amount had been recovered from A.A. Narayana Aiyar in three instalments at Rs. 26-10-8 in the pay bills for April, May and June 1913.
