The album contains photographs of delegates, talks, exhibitions, etc., related to the National Workshop on Preservation Our Scientific Heritage held on January 20-22, 2008, in IIA Bangalore. The program was for two days and focussed on preserving the history of scientific organizations in the country. Eminent personalities of institutes from different parts of India presented their papers, and more than 100 participants participated in the workshop.

The album consisted of nearly 200 photographs from the National Workshop on Preservation Our Scientific Heritage held on January 21-22, 2008. The album includes photos of the delegates,IIA archives, events, presentations etc.

The album contains photos taken during the visit of Prof. D. Sugimoto of the University of Tokyo in 1997 as a part of the India-Japan collaborative research program. It includes photographs of the presentation by Prof. D. Sugimoto and handing over the board to be installed in the GRAPE system, a parallel computing machine dedicated to galaxy simulations, to director R. Cowsik.

The album consists of photos of the Ayudha pooja celebration in 1997. Photos of rituals at the mechanical workshop and pictures of high tea are included in the album.

The album contains photographs of an exhibition conducted during the bicentennial of Madras Observatory at IIA campus on December 6, 1986. It can be seen that hundreds of photos and astronomical equipment showcasing the history of 200 years were displayed by the library team for the public.

The album contains photographs taken during the unveiling ceremony of the bicentennial plaque at IIA Bangalore campus on 06 January 1987. The bicentennial plaque was unveiled by Prof M. G. K. Menon, former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), to commemorate the bicentennial of the setting up an observatory at Madras by Wiliam Petrie in 1786 to which the Indian Institute of Astrophysics traces the origin.

The album contains photos related to the conference held in IIA Bangalore campus in 2009 organized by IIA library on sharing the e-journal through consortia in Indian libraries. The album includes pictures of delegates from different libraries in India and abroad.

The album contains photos of the IIA annual event at the Bangalore campus. Most images are of cultural programs, especially the drama performed by the employees.
