This is a Letter from R. K. Rangachan to R. L. Jones regarding the lunar eclipse. It is a query asking if there was a lunar eclipse visible in India on May 7, 1715. It also says that A.D.Maestro Servel and Dikshit stated in their Hindu calendar that there was a total eclipse of the sun on April 22 previously.

This letter was about to furnishing the eclipse photographs as requested by Govt. of India.
