This is a correspondence of the specifications for an observatory dome 18 feet in diameter regarding the previous letter. Here some hand drawn sketch of a dome specifications also included as reference.

This is a completion certificate for the north dome of the observatory

The letter is a Government Order forwarded to the Director of Kodaikanal & Madras Observatories informing about the sanctioning of Rs.6380 for the construction of a photoheliograph at Kodaikanal Observatory.

The letter is from Charles Michie Smith, Director, Kodaikanal & Madras Observatories, to the Chief Engineer to Government, Chepauk, regarding the erection of a new dome in Kodaikanal Observatory as the existing one was erected 4o years ago and has become hard to use. It says the plans and estimates by the consulting Architect are enclosed.

This Letter is from D.Marshall executive engineer presidency division to the director of Madras Observatory regarding an estimate amounting to Rs.810 for special repairs at Madras Observatory. It also makes provisions for the repair works done during the erection of new dome.

The letter is from Gilbert T Walker, Meteorological Reporter to the Government of India and Director-General of Indian Observatories to the Director, Solar Physics Observatory replying to letter No. 526 of 24 Sep 1904 and returning the plans and estimate of Rs.6300- for new dome of photoheliograph it also say about other modification mentioned in the previous letter.

This letter is written to Mr. Field regarding the removal of the revolving dome of the 20-inch telescope and the sending of the instruments and apparatus to Kodaikanal. The letter also asks to send some microscopes to attach to the barometers in Kodaikanal, if there are any spare ones.

The letter is from the Director, Kodaikanal & Madras Observatories, to the Consulting Architect to the Government of India, saying that the design of the dome should be of Sir Howard Grubb's standard design.

This letter is from W. J. Dunlop to the Executive Engineer informing that the domes etc belonging to the observatory building should be closed under machinery and the cost of such items should be deducted from the capital cost. Also a reply letter from the director of Kodaikanal and Madras Observatories Michie Smith questioning this is a very troublesome work and also he mentioned that this cannot be reached by any considerate of cost.

This letter was written to Gilbert Thomas Walker, the Director General of Observatories from Secretary to Government, Bombay Castle, Educational Department, in reply to the letter regarding removing the revolving dome of Poona Observatory to Kodaikanal. In this letter, it was stated a plan and estimate for another roof for the observatory building.
