Telegraph Department to Director of Solar Physics Observatory enquiring if the measurements of natural currents made on telegraph lines during magnetic disturbance can be advantageous and, if so, asking to warn the telegraph department to make observations when needed.

              The item is Letter from the Meteorological Department to the Director of Kodaikanal & Madras Observatories, containing a copy of letter No.543/43 dated 27 Oct 1903 from the Officer in charge, No.26 Party (Magnetic) to the Meteorological Reporter to the Government of India and Director General of Indian Observatories, proposing a visit of 7 to 10 days to the Colaba Magnetic Observatory during the latter part of January and Kodaikanal during the following month.
