The map shows Islands of the Malay Archipelago or Eastern Islands in 1836. It was located between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It was cartographed by Horsburgh, Raffles, Crawford, Duperrey, Laplace, etc and J.&C. Walker engraved it.

This item was about supernova, that was photographed from Kavalur observatory before and after the appearance 1987A. The supernova is seen close to the tarantula nebula, the brightest nebulosity in the photographs.
