These photographic slides contain some photographs of Lowell Observatory. It was donated by R.C.Mallik to M. K. Vainu Bappu

This item was about nuclear astrophysics and one of its accomplished practitioners, Bhaskar Dutta of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, who passed away at the early age of fifty in Bangalore. The item also speaks of his remarkable achievements in nuclear physics. During his journey in the US for education and research and subsequent to his return from abroad, he started working in TIFR, followed by IIA, Bangalore.

The map shows the character of the African, American, Asiatic and European Rivers as in 1834. Thomas Starling engraved it.
