This letter was sent to the Director of Kodaikanal and Madras observatories from the consulting architect to the Govt. of Madras to sanction the plans and estimate submitted to the Govt. It was mentioned that glazed and batten windows had been provided for the transit house, as a wooden floor would be expensive so that the concrete floor would remain, and a small window had been added to the top of the anemometer tower.

Letter to the Director-General of Observatories regarding the specification of a new Micrometer for the Madras Transit Instrument

This letter was sent to the Director-General of Observatories, Alipore, Calcutta, from John Evershed, about the anemometer reading at Leh on the 31st December 1920, which was 5.5 miles.

The letter is to The District Medical & Sanitary Officer, Madura, from the Director of Kodaikanal Observatory requesting to examine A. Y. Subrahmanya Aiyer and certify his fitness for entertainment in the public service as the third assistant of the Solar Physics Observatory, Kodaikanal.

This letter to the Executive Engineer of Madura from the Director of Kodaikanal and Madras Observatories for consulting architect to the Government of Madras to furnish the original dorms but he lent it to the sub divisional officer when he was preparing plans for the new domes and also he mentioned it was not like several other plans lent been returned to him.
